Privacy Notice

One Good Line is operated by Adi Chakrabarti ("we"), the data controller for personal data we collect from you.

What we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, password hash.
• Profile data (optional): the situation, emotions, and needs you share to receive personalized lines.
• Subscription data: your plan, status, and billing period (payment details are handled by Paddle, not by us).
• Email engagement: bounces, complaints, and unsubscribe events.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.

How we use it

To deliver the Service (sending you daily lines), to generate personalized lines on premium tiers, to manage your subscription and account, to prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

Legal basis

We process your data on the following bases: contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to keep the Service secure and improve it), consent (for optional profile data used to personalize lines, withdrawable at any time), and legal obligation (to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements).

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record, processes payments and tax.
• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting and database infrastructure.
• Email delivery providers — to deliver mail to your inbox.
• Google AI / OpenAI (via Lovable AI Gateway) — to generate the daily and personalized lines.

We never sell your personal data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your account page, or by writing to hello@onegoodline.org. EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active, and for up to 12 months after deletion for legal and accounting purposes. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, and audited infrastructure — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (including Paddle, hosting, and AI model providers) are based outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
